Job summary

Transdev North America is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our shop serving the City of Pittsburgh Fleet. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and full diagnostics on diesel vehicles and equipment.

Qualified candidates have at least 3 years of automotive or diesel repair experience, a valid driver’s license, and are open to ASE certification and DOT drug testing. CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience.
• ASE certifications are preferred; must be willing to participate in the company ASE certification program (training and bonuses provided).
• Valid driver’s license is required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Subject to DOT drug testing per 49 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment systems including brakes, suspensions, engines, drivetrains, transmissions and other components.
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary.
