Job summary

SavATree in Carmel, IN is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to keep fleet vehicles and equipment in peak condition. You will perform preventative maintenance and major repairs, coordinating with managers and field staff to ensure safety and efficiency in daily operations.

The ideal candidate has diesel engine repair experience, reads manuals and diagnostic charts well, and brings basic repair tools. CDL preferred and ASE certification a plus; U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in small engine repair and two-stroke engine maintenance
• Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience
• Experience operating and maintaining aerial lift (bucket) trucks
• Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps
• Your own basic tools for engine repair and maintenance
• Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, diagnostic charts, and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues
• A valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
• ASE certification a plus
• Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance and major repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment
• Coordinating repairs and maintenance with Managers and field specialists
• Reviewing Vehicle Inspection Reports to prioritize work and address issues promptly
• Ordering and receiving parts and supplies, completing required paperwork for the office and vendors
• Training field specialists on equipment maintenance and safe vehicle operation whenever possible
• Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment in the shop and yard
