Job summary

RE Martin Tree Specialists INC in Catharpin, VA is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks and heavy equipment, with a focus on diagnosing diesel engines and related systems for reliability and safety. You will perform routine maintenance, repair air brakes, hydraulics and electrical systems, solder connections as needed, and keep precise service records.

This full-time in-person role requires 3 years of experience and a strong work ethic to keep our fleet

Qualifications

3 years of diesel mechanic experience required.
Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines.
Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment.
Must be able to work in-person in Catharpin, VA.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
Conduct diagnostics to identify mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Repair or replace components such as air brakes, shocks, struts, hydraulics and other critical systems.
Solder electrical connections and troubleshoot electrical systems as needed.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Operate heavy equipment safely while performing maintenance tasks.
Stay updated with industry advancements and best practices in diesel mechanics.
