Job summary

NETTTS in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic to join our fleet operations and training equipment team. You will perform routine maintenance, oil changes, brake service, tire work, and basic diagnostics on electrical and A/C systems.

You will troubleshoot complex issues with diagnostic tools, maintain service records for DOT compliance, and help with facility tasks and occasional snow removal. ASE certification and Class A CDL are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification in Diesel Mechanics from a vocational or post-secondary program.
• 3+ years of hands-on diesel equipment maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with DOT safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with vendors to source and order parts.
• Willingness to adhere to a set schedule and work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles (oil changes, brake service, tire work).
• Conduct basic diagnostics on electrical and A/C systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical/electronic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed service records and ensure DOT safety compliance.
• Assist with general facility maintenance and seasonal snow removal.
