Job summary

Mack Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Astatula, Florida.

You will maintain and repair a fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts, heavy equipment, and related vehicles to keep operations running smoothly. You should have at least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience, strong diagnostic skills for diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting abilities, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience (education may substitute for experience).
Experience diagnosing diesel engine and equipment issues.
Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience performing preventative maintenance and inspections.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
High school diploma or GED.
Experience working on construction, heavy equipment, or industrial fleets.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and fleet equipment
Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
Complete DOT inspections and maintain accurate service records
Repair engines, transmissions, steering, braking, suspension, hydraulic, electrical, and lighting systems
Maintain and repair company trucks, trailers, forklifts, loaders, and other heavy equipment
Respond to occasional roadside service calls for company vehicles
Maintain inventory of parts and shop tools
Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and safe
