Job summary

Labor Finders seeks a Mack Trucks mechanic to maintain, repair, and inspect heavy trucks, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and part replacements while coordinating with fleet managers to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Strong diesel and gas engine knowledge with hydraulic and heavy vehicle system understanding.
• Proficiency with manual and computerized troubleshooting tools.
• Precise repair work to ensure safety and performance.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and implement effective solutions.
• Experience with hand and power tools required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and lubrication.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel issues.
• Install, repair, or replace parts including brakes, transmissions, engines, A/C/heaters, and electrical systems.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and readiness.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs are complete and safe.
• Maintain logs of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Coordinate with fleet managers to schedule maintenance and reduce downtime.
• Communicate with drivers and customers about issues and service needs.
• Stay updated on Mack technology, safety standards, and repair procedures.
• Ensure work meets environmental and emissions regulations.
