Job summary

Mack Industries is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts, heavy equipment, and company vehicles in Florida. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and handle inspections to keep operations safe and efficient.

The role requires 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience, strong troubleshooting skills in hydraulics and electrical systems, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience (technical education may substitute for experience).
• Experience diagnosing diesel engine and equipment issues.
• Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience working on construction, heavy equipment, or industrial fleets.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and fleet equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Complete DOT inspections and maintain accurate service records.
• Repair engines, transmissions, steering, braking, suspension, hydraulic, electrical, and lighting systems.
• Maintain and repair company trucks, trailers, forklifts, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
• Respond to occasional roadside service calls for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of parts and shop tools.
• Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and safe.

In this role, you'll help keep our operation running by maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts, heavy equipment, and company vehicles.
