Job summary

Synergen seeks a Diesel Mechanic in Bossier City, LA to maintain fleet and equipment. Responsibilities include servicing, repairing, and overhaul per manufacturer guidance, with field and shop work and use of diagnostic tools.

The role requires ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and adherence to safety standards across heavy machinery and vehicles.

Qualifications

• Technical School certification preferred.
• Experience with 3/4 ton up to 18-wheelers and heavy equipment.
• Ability to obtain CDL within 90 days of employment and maintain MVRSatisfactory.

Responsibilities

• Performs service, maintenance, repair and overhaul per manufacturers’ recommendations.
• Performs equipment repairs in shop or field locations.
• Repairs equipment by removing/replacing components.
• Uses diagnostic procedures and test equipment to identify faults.
• Performs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and electronic analyses.
• Operates shop equipment including cranes, welders, compressors, and hand tools.
• Lifts, moves and installs heavy parts safely using PPE.
• Assists other mechanics and team members.
