Zusammenfassung

Interstate Power Systems in Butler, WI is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (1st Shift) to diagnose, repair, and service heavy-duty trucks and equipment. You’ll work 7:00am-3:00pm in a fast-paced shop with a team of skilled technicians, performing preventive maintenance and major component repairs as needed.

The role requires 2+ years with diesel trucks/heavy equipment, reading schematics, and proficiency with OEM diagnostic tools. CDL preferred; welding ability is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years experience on diesel trucks or heavy equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with diesel engines and electrical systems.
• Able to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• CDL preferred; basic welding/fabrication a plus.

• Complete service documentation for repairs, parts, and compliance.
• Communicate repairs and recommendations to customers and internal teams.
• Follow all safety standards (OSHA, DOT, company protocols).
• Maintain tools and equipment for daily operations.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy-duty diesel trucks and/or equipment.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 2+ years working on diesel trucks or heavy equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with diesel engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
• Experience with OEM diagnostic tools preferred
• Basic welding/fabrication a plus
• Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in shop conditions

Bonus Points

• Diesel tech certification or ASE (T2-T8)
• Experience with Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, or Mack
