Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in the United States to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, including cranes, trailers, and forklifts. You will diagnose and fix hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems while working both in the shop and on-site in the field.

We value independence, reliability, and problem-solving, with standard hours Monday–Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Must provide your own standard tools (specialty tools provided).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, cranes, trailers, and forklifts.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Work in both shop and field environments.
• Operate independently and manage daily workload.
• Occasional travel to support field service needs.
