Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of related technical experience/training or equivalent
• ASE Certification(s) preferred but not required
• Experience/knowledge of diesel and gas engines; able to perform inspections/diagnostics and most repairs without supervision

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose vehicles to identify worn or damaged parts
• Perform preventive maintenance schedules and inspections
• Repair or replace major assemblies and systems (powertrain, electrical, braking, steering, hydraulics)
• Test drive and adjust controls to verify performance
• Maintain vehicle records of services and repairs
• Keep shop equipment operating and inventory supplies
• Work in all weather conditions and perform field inspections when needed
