Job summary
United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) in Salisbury, NC to maintain and repair complex rental equipment safely and professionally. You will document work and may travel to customer sites, supporting a wide range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
You will mentor junior technicians, uphold quality service, and contribute to a team known for reliability and safety.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
- Valid driver's license with clean record.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
- Strong mechanical background knowledge of engines.
Responsibilities
- Perform safe maintenance and repair of a variety of rental equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems).
- Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
- Document work orders and service records accurately and timely.
- Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance when required; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
- Assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts; other duties as assigned.
