HRM CONCRETE LLC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our busy repair shop in Baton Rouge. You will diagnose, repair, and service vehicles, maintain equipment, and prepare estimates for customers.

Strong communication helps you explain issues clearly and provide practical advice to clients. The ideal candidate has experience with diesel systems and a proven track record in customer service, with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements.
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes.
• Create repair estimates and timelines and convey information to customers in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
