Job summary

TransDirectUSA is seeking an experienced mobile diesel technician to service Class 8 trucks and trailers at customer sites across assigned routes. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and electronic vehicles, and operate the mobile service truck to manage truck inventory.

The role requires minimum two years of hands-on experience, Air Brake Systems Certification, knowledge of FMCSR guidelines, and the ability to lift 70 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of technical experience with Class 8 tractors and trailers.
• Air Brake Systems Certification.
• Able to diagnose and troubleshoot repairs using diagnostic systems.
• ASE Certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repair.
• Familiar with FHWA, FMCSR inspections.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must lift 70 pounds.
• Candidate must provide his/her own tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks and electronic vehicles.
• Properly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory.
• Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals.
• Travel to locations to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with management, providing detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs.
• Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer\'s specifications according to FMCSR.
• Maintaining parts and yard organization to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
