United Rentals, Inc. in Sparks, NV is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment in a safe, professional manner. You will support training for junior techs and maintain thorough documentation of work performed.

The role involves travel to customer sites as needed, delivering reliable service, and upholding safety standards. Opportunity to advance within the Service Department and leadership paths within United Rentals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a variety of complex rental equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work orders daily.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
