Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will contribute to a culture of excellent service and have opportunities to advance within the Service Department.

As part of our team, you’ll train others as you grow, travel to customer sites when required, and maintain detailed records of work performed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Superior customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of complex rental equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel).
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/work orders daily.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties as needed.
