Southwest International Trucks is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Technician B in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, $40–$50 per hour or flat rate based on experience, and comprehensive benefits.

The role includes preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and mentoring of apprentices. Responsibilities cover engine and drivetrain work, wiring diagram interpretation, and safe operation of tools in a well-equipped shop.

Formación

• Substantial heavy-duty diesel experience or equivalent competency.
• Strong diagnostic, electrical, and service information skills.
• Required OEM training progression completed and current.

Responsabilidades

• Preventative maintenance: oil changes, filter replacements, wheel alignments, brake checks, and routine services.
• Inspection & diagnosis: perform diagnostics using scan tools, compression tests, and manual checks; interpret fault codes and sensor data.
• Remove and install transmissions, driveline components, and other major assemblies.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, fault trees, service bulletins, and OEM repair procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to Apprentice and C Technicians.
• Maintain safe work area and complete tasks within timeframes.
