Job summary

BROTHERS MOTORS SERVICE in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our service team. You will inspect and repair heavy diesel engines, perform DOT inspections, and maintain detailed service records in a shop and mobile environments.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience on heavy diesel equipment, CDL, ASE is a plus, and owns a personal tool set. Excellent teamwork and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience working on heavy diesel equipment, trucks, or equivalent.
• Technical training in diesel technology.
• CDL may be required or beneficial.
• ASE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect diesel engines and related systems to identify issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system problems.
• Repair or replace defective components and ensure proper operation.
• Use diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot engine performance.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate timelines.
