Job summary

A construction materials company is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Lake Bluff, IL. This role involves diagnostic testing, repairs of various vehicle systems, and ensuring preventative maintenance. A successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience with diesel engines and commercial vehicles, as well as certifications in diesel technology and A/C systems. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a mechanic with emphasis in diesel engines and/or commercial motor vehicles is preferred.
• Knowledge of diagnostic testing on vehicles and engines.
• Electrical (wiring) knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze/troubleshoot and repair vehicles & commercial motor vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles & commercial motor vehicles.
• Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist (Annual DOT Inspection) on Commercial Motor Vehicles.
