Job summary

Highland Group Professional Services is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic in Clarksville, TN to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment. This full-time, on-site role offers a pay range of $28.00-$32.00 per hour commensurate with experience.

The candidate should have 2+ years hands-on experience, knowledge of onboard diagnostics, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. CDL and heavy equipment experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of onboard computer diagnostic systems.
• Ability to manage multiple repair tasks independently.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Preferred: CDL, experience operating heavy equipment, and fleet maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and related mechanical systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on diesel vehicles and equipment
• Use onboard computer diagnostic tools to identify and resolve electronic and mechanical issues
• Operate heavy equipment as needed to assess performance and complete repairs
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service history
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Communicate repair status and findings to supervisors
