Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment to perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment across Tampa, Clearwater, Lakeland, and Temple Terrace, FL. You will document work orders, demonstrate equipment to customers, and travel to job sites as needed, maintaining safety and professionalism.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 3–5 years’ experience with diesel and mechanical systems, own essential tools, and strong customer service and teamwork

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and engines.
• Must own tools applicable to position; strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and complex repairs on customer-owned equipment in a safe, professional manner.
• Maintain accurate paperwork/electronics documentation (work orders) daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment to customers.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance when required; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts; perform other duties as needed.
