Academy Bus is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic, Class A for our West Palm Beach, FL location. $2500 Sign-On Bonus.

Shifts Available:

• 4:00am-12:30pm
• 12:00pm-8:30pm
• 8:00pm-4:30am

Responsibilities:

• Repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour bus engines and transmissions
• Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenance
• Inspections and road tests
• Warranty and repair documentation
• Diagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly and cleaning of various components such as diesel engines, electronic systems, drive line components, tires, brakes, radiators, water pumps, alternators, steering components, filters, door assemblies, controls, belts, pneumatic valves, cables, radiators, heating, air conditioning, suspensions, seating, glass, and more
• Respond to road calls
• General welding and fabrication

Requirements:

• 7+ years of diesel engine maintenance experience
• Flexible schedule, including some weekends
• Own tools
• Ability to use various hand tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welders, testing instruments, etc.
• Proficient with diagnostic devices such as DDEC, ATEC, SmarTire, schematics, and refrigerant recovery equipment
• Valid driver's license
• Basic computer skills
• CDL with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement is a plus; willingness to obtain CDL is desirable
