As a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - CES), you'll perform maintenance and complex repairs on customer-owned equipment safely and professionally. You will have opportunities to grow into higher Service Technician and leadership roles within our Service Department, while providing exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

• Perform safe maintenance and repair of complex customer-owned equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain documentation of work performed daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Travel to customer sites for repairs/maintenance as needed; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with equipment and parts pick-up and delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and engines.
• Own tools applicable to the position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs frequently.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals policies.
