Job summary

Prairie Field Services in Artesia, NM is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to service oilfield tractors and trailers at our local shop. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment in compliance with DOT/FMCSA standards.

Diesel Mechanic

Looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to work out of our Artesia, NM shop.

Diesel Mechanic Job Summary

Diesel Mechanic will ensure oilfield equipment is being inspected, repaired, and all maintenance is completed on tractors and trailers in compliance with the DOT/FMCSA Standards. Diesel mechanic: 2 years (Preferred) - Experience with Kenworth equipment is a plus.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of diesel mechanics.
• D.E.F and SCR, sensors, injectors work
• Engine and fuel diagnostics (E.S.A and Cummins)
• Engine, transmission and chassis repair
• Tanker trailer, Roper pump, and hydraulic system repair
• Air system diagnostic and repair
• Understanding of Federal and State DOT Regulations, especially the DOT's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to direct and achieve priorities, goals, and strategies with limited supervision
• Perform Annual Inspections on equipment
• Perform maintenance on CMV and trailers
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and inspection reports
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Work closely with operations to maximize fleet uptime
