Job summary

Admiral Beverage Corporation in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles and equipment including heavy to light trucks, cars, forklifts, and vending refrigeration units.

You will perform preventive maintenance, ensure safety standards, hold or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL with Airbrake, bring your own tools, and join a team that values safety, teamwork, and career growth.

Qualifications

• Two year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent.
• Four years related experience or combination of education and experience preferred.
• Willingness to obtain a Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsement and meet driver qualifications.
• Effective communication with all levels of the organization.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine corrective action for repairs.

Job Description

Primary Location:

Albuquerque, New Mexico

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine corrective action for necessary repair.
• Inspect vehicles for defective equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on all fleet vehicle systems.
• Overhaul gas and/or diesel engines.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices and make adjustments.
• Lubricate moving parts and drives or operates repaired vehicles and equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
• Installs special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to technical manuals or schematic drawings.
• Performs minor maintenance and repair of building and plant equipment including, air-conditioning, plumbing, cable installation and other mechanical related components.
• Wear Company provided uniform and safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety standards and to present a professional image.
• Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Two year certificate from college or technical school, four years related experience or combination of education and experience preferred.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsement.
• Must meet company driver qualifications, and willing to obtain State Safety Inspection certification.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the organization.
• Must provide own tools.
