Waste Management in Pen Argyl, PA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to service our fleet and keep the community moving. You’ll fix trucks and equipment with modern tools, following safety procedures, on a Monday–Friday schedule with a start time of 1:00 pm.

The role offers a starting hourly pay of $29–$36 plus a $3 shift differential and benefits such as healthcare, tool and boot allowances, education assistance, and a company match 401(k).

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Be over 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform your work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Safety checks on vehicles - the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Assisting senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
