Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment in a safe, professional manner. You will contribute to a culture of excellent customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include safe maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems; travel to customer sites when needed; maintaining complete work orders; and supporting lower level technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and repair of complex rental equipment with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Must own tools applicable to position and maintain professional appearance of service vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintain and repair a variety of equipment.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work orders daily.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance when required.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
