WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance duties on heavy and light equipment, including hydraulic, brake, engine and electrical systems. The role requires diagnosing problems, repairing or replacing parts, and following safety procedures.

Experience can range from entry level to several years, with a high school diploma or GED and valid driver's license. The company offers industry-leading benefits and a strong 401k plan.

Qualifikationen

• Equivalent of one high school diploma or GED with 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair; or 4 years of related maintenance/repair experience.
• Valid driver license.

• Diagnoses mechanical problems.
• Performs repairs and maintenance on light trucks, compactors and recycling equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Repairs or replaces parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves and bearings.
• Overhauls or replaces blowers, generators, distributors, starters and pumps.
• Reads and interprets vehicle condition reports and repair orders; communicates with supervisor and operators for clarification.
• Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage and times.
• Repairs and installs plumbing and electrical related items to hydraulic systems.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain positive relations with customers, vendors, and co-workers.

Diesel Mechanics of all experience levels are encouraged to apply! WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems.
• Performs repairs and maintenance on light trucks, compactors and recycling equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems, brake systems, transmissions, electrical systems, engines, balers and compactors.
• Repairs or replaces parts, such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
• Overhauls or replaces blowers, generators, distributors, starters and pumps.
• Reads and interprets VCRs (vehicle condition reports) and/or repair orders, communicates with supervisor and/or equipment operators for clarification of problems and discusses preventive techniques with equipment users and vehicle drivers to minimize future repairs.
• Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounts for applied times (work order times versus time card times).
• Repairs and installs plumbing and electrical related item to hydraulic systems.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.

Experience, Education, Certification

• Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
• Valid driver license.

Physical Requirements

• Handle tools, equipment, fine motor skills
• Reach with hands and arms
• Climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet
• Occasionally must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
