Job summary

Arrow Stage Lines in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for the day shift to keep a fleet of late-model motorcoaches running safely. This full-time maintenance role focuses on diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and routine service, with no night shifts.

You’ll inspect brakes, steering, engines, fuel systems, electricals, tires, and A/C, perform repairs, and participate in on-call rotation with up to $500 extra per on-call week.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $28.00 To $33.00 Hourly

Work days, not nights. Keep a fleet of clean, late model motorcoaches running at one of the safest charter companies in the industry. This position is in Phoenix.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain a fleet of pristine, late-model motorcoaches and support vehicles for our Southwest facilities.
• Help ensure every coach placed into service is safe, reliable, and free of mechanical defects.
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and routine service on fleet vehicles.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other parts to ensure proper operating condition.
• Repair and maintain engine components, including fuel injection systems.
• Repair electrical systems.
• Change tires on buses and support vehicles.
• Repair gas/diesel engines and A/C systems.
• Take your turn in the on call rotation, paid up to $500 extra that week.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• Brake and A/C certifications are preferred.
• Fleet maintenance experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Valid CDL preferred.
• Passenger endorsement preferred, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug testing and background check.
• Ability to work on-call, evenings, and weekends as needed; on-call weeks can earn up to an additional $500.
• Ability to find solutions and proactively address work-related problems.
• Self-motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively under time and budgetary pressures.
• Ability to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
• Reliable, with good attendance and punctuality.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or technical college certificates preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
