Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join a growing team. This first-shift opportunity offers a consistent schedule, competitive pay and overtime potential.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair diesel engines and related systems, perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers and heavy equipment, inspect vehicles, and complete work orders with accurate records. A valid driver’s license is required; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous diesel mechanic experience preferred
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and related systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
• Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical issues
• Repair brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Ensure equipment meets safety and operational standards
