Job summary

MPS Group, Inc. seeks a Diesel Mechanic for the Cleveland Cliffs Facility in Middletown, OH. You will maintain, inspect, troubleshoot and repair a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role runs on 1st shift, Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with overtime and after-hours callouts. You will perform DOT annual inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics with scanners, and welding as needed to keep trucks, vacuums, lifts and related gear in

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of diesel mechanic experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification.
• Experience performing DOT inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Familiarity with diagnostic scanners and electronic troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair wash trucks, vacuum trucks, vans, trucks, water blasters, Lulls, forklifts, scissor lifts, and related equipment.
• Perform DOT annual inspections.
• Complete preventative maintenance, including oil changes, transmission services, tire replacements, and routine inspections.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair needs.
• Maintain accurate records within the fleet management system.
• Perform welding as needed.
• Utilize diagnostic scanners and tools for troubleshooting.
• Flexibility to support after-hours call-outs and emergency situations.
