As a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II), you'll perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment safely and professionally. You will have opportunities to improve and advance within our Service Department, providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain accurate paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Demonstrate complex equipment to customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• 1-2 years of experience in repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment or trade school graduate.
• Own tools applicable to the position.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. frequently.

This position is considered Safety Sensitive under United Rentals' policies.
