Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Wellsville, UT to perform diagnostics and major overhauls on engines and electrical systems. You will conduct preventative maintenance and lead junior technicians while ensuring safety and DOT/OSHA compliance.

This full-time role offers growth opportunities and strong benefits. The ideal candidate has 5–6 years of hands-on experience with trucks or commercial fleets and ASE Master Certification, plus a CDL.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of hands-on mechanical experience on trucks, buses, or commercial transport fleets.
• ASE Master Certification or equivalent.
• CDL license is frequently required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & repair: perform advanced troubleshooting and major overhauls on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and differentials.
• Preventative maintenance: inspect vehicle systems and perform scheduled services to minimize downtime.
• Leadership & mentoring: guide junior mechanics, review work, and support training initiatives.
• Safety & compliance: adhere to DOT and OSHA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Perform advanced troubleshooting and major overhauls on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and differentials.
• Preventative Maintenance: Inspect vehicle systems and execute scheduled services independently to minimize downtime.
• Leadership & Mentoring: Guide junior mechanics, review completed work, and support team training initiatives.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5 to 6 years of hands‑on mechanical experience working on trucks, buses, or commercial transport fleets.
• Certifications: Industry credentials such as Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Certification.
• Licenses: Valid driver's license; commercial driver's license (CDL) is frequently required.
• Skills: Proficient with computerized diagnostic software, hand tools, and heavy shop equipment
