Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, as well as experience with heavy equipment and industrial machinery. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and collaboratively to ensure optimal performance of our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and components effectively.
- Weld and assemble parts as needed to ensure proper functionality of equipment.
- Operate cranes and other heavy equipment safely during repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in a dealership or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components, HVAC systems, and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and service manuals.
- Proficiency in welding techniques and assembling mechanical parts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective customer service interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license is ; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are a plus.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is
- Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is
- At least 1 year of experience
