Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of vehicle systems is essential.
  • Class A or B Commercial license preferred.

$28-$35 per hour on individual skillset and experience

Experience:

Bourne's Energy company is looking for a truck mechanic with several years' experience or a combination of experience and training to include a thorough knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, air and hydraulic brake systems, welding and fabrication, vehicle wiring, suspension and other items and systems related to vehicles. As a mechanic with Bourne's Energy, you will conduct preventative maintenance, repair company vehicles and other equipment, and keep the fleet in a high state of operational readiness.

Essential Functions:
  1. Review daily truck reports and immediately repair any safety issues.
  2. Perform lubrication, fluid check, and oil changes in accordance with company preventive maintenance schedules and vehicle manufacturer's recommendations.
  3. Conduct routine repairs on all vehicle systems and components including changing and rotating tires, brake repair, spring replacement, diagnose vehicle trouble codes and wiring, and troubleshooting and repair of a variety of truck systems maintenance issues.
  4. Maintain and repair fuel pumping equipment, piping, ticket registers, and emergency shut-off systems.
  5. Maintain maintenance records on all vehicles and equipment.
  6. Track all parts used and report inventory needs to supervisor.
  7. Schedule outside repairs with appropriate vendors.
  8. Keep garage and maintenance areas neat and organized.
  9. Utilize computer software and Microsoft Office applications

Certification and Testing:
  • Class A or B Commercial is preferred
  • Brake Adjusting License
  • Certificate to reseal meters and registers
