Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and drivetrains, using diagnostic equipment and service manuals.

This is a full-time, temporary-to-hire position offering $25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience, with weekly pay and benefits including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance; a 401(k) with employer matching and a $50 referral bonus are included.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial or shop environment preferred.
• Certification or schooling in Automotive Mechanics or related field preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues with a vehicle’s engine, transmission, and electrical system.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles.

DIESEL MECHANIC

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Diesel Mechanic for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow with a locally owned company. You will primarily be responsible for diagnostics, engine repair, and maintenance on vehicles.

Pay Rate

$25.00 to 30.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 7 00 am to 4 00 pm.

Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues with a vehicle’s engine, transmission, and electrical system.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles.
• Use provided part descriptions and manuals to perform maintenance.
• Test and adjust repaired systems.
• Complete all paperwork needed.

Diesel Mechanic Qualifications and Requirements
