Qualifications

• Expérience de 2 ans en réparation mécanique de moteurs diesel.
• Certifications ASE de préférence.
• Détenir un CDL Classe A dans les 6 mois suivant l'embauche.

Responsibilities

Immediately hiring a permanent full-time experienced mid-level diesel technician to support our truck fleet at Ryder in Sioux Falls, SD.

• Hourly Pay: $28.75 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
• Schedule: Tuesday – Friday, weekends off
• Hours: Second shift, 1:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance
• Two or more years of related training and experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred

This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become a Ryder employee, you must:

• Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test
• Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Conduct standard vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes and perform repairs
• Replace defective components
• Perform facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
• Utilize shop management systems and documentation
• Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
• Support operations as needed, including service island duties
