The Diesel Mechanic will be working on a variety of company owned heavy trucks and trailers ranging from OTR sleepers to Live Bottom Trailers, including troubleshooting and repair: electronic, fuel, ignition, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. While the mechanic will be working mostly independently, all mechanics are expected to be able to work within a team environment to accomplish major projects efficiently and effectively.
In this Diesel Mechanic role, you will:
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues. Ability to test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
• Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with computer or shop provided diagnostic equipment.
• Perform diagnostics on specific components and systems to determine proper operation.

Requirements
• 6 months to 1 year diesel mechanic experience
• Ability to work a 3rd shift.
• Ability and knowledge to diagnose diesel engines, transmissions, and differential projects
• Strong communication skills – team oriented
Physical Requirements of a Diesel Tech:
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspection
• Must have enough vision to inspect repair work
• Must be able to use/operate hand tools, power tools, and other heavy machinery
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen
