Experienced Diesel Mechanic ~ Heavy Equipment Fleet Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment including the repair of brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, hydraulics and other repairs.
• Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain records of all maintenance work completed including parts and supplies used.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Interpret and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, and service manuals, as well as utilizing computer diagnostics.
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Assist with preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Perform other responsibilities as requested or required.
