We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair machinery and vehicles. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines and mechanical systems.
Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines
Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering and other systems
Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment (i.e., dozers, excavators, heavy haul trucks, etc.)
Perform welding or fabrication tasks on equipment as necessary
Prepare work orders and order parts
Fuel equipment and maintain daily log
Other Duties as Assigned or Requested
Perform additional duties as needed
Minimum of 3 years of experience with diesel engine repair
Thorough knowledge and working experience of DOT standards and regulations
Must be 18 years in age or older
A valid Driver’s License
Ability to work overtime and flexible hours (day/night/weekends)
Ability to work outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions
Knowledge and working experience of DOT standards and regulations
Ability to communicate with others to convey information effectively
Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
Knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
High School Diploma preferred
Diesel technician or mechanic degree a plus
Very good communication skills
A problem-solving ability
Very good physical strength and stamina

Walking long distances within the site to inspect various aspects of the project
