Job summary

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic at our Maybrook, NY Service Center. This full-time role on the 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 12:30 am) involves day-to-day maintenance on our fleet, performing preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

The ideal candidate has experience in diesel engine maintenance, AC and electrical systems, and is able to perform major repairs. Tools are required and a CDL-A is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Class A CDL holder.
• Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks.
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet assets including PMs and repairs.
• Complete minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies; welding as needed.
• Use Cetaris work orders and manage service activities.
• Ensure safety and tool usage per location requirements.

Diesel Mechanic, Hourly range is $30.74 - $36.93 hr.

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 2nd shift – 2:00 pm to 12:30 am

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Maybrook, NY. Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.
