Position Summary

Performs maintenance, repair, and diagnostic tasks on various vehicles and equipment.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains systems on class 6, 7, and 8 powered tractors.
• Diagnoses failures and repairs mechanical, electrical, and systems issues.
• Uses hydraulic jacks for vehicle access.
• Assists with replacing engines, transmissions, differentials, and springs.
• Troubleshoots heavy-duty truck engines, braking, electrical, and exhaust systems.
• Documents repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborates with partners for training and assistance on complex repairs.
• Tests vehicles post-repair to ensure proper functioning.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Proficiency in diagnostic software.

Pay Rate: $32.50 - $37.50 per hour, based on experience.
