Job summary

Firematic is a family-owned business serving those who protect us for over 50 years. We are seeking a skilled technician to diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles in New York, Monday–Friday 7:00–3:30. Starting rate is $25-35/hr depending on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with positive can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of diesel engines preferred.
• Valid CDL B with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within first year.
• Knowledge of up-to-date methods of maintaining autos, trucks and emergency vehicles preferred.
• ASE and/or EVT certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles.
• Perform skilled work maintaining automotive, medium and heavy-duty trucks, including EMS and related equipment.

WHO WE ARE:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. Perform skilled work in maintaining automotive, medium and heavy-duty trucks, to include all Fire Division and Rescue (EMS) Division vehicles, including small gas engines and other associated equipment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Self-starter with positive can-do attitude

• Valid class CDL B drivers license with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within the first year
• Knowledge of up-to-date methods of maintaining autos, trucks and emergency vehicles preferred

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 7:00-3:30.

Starting rate $25-35/hr depending on experience and certifications
