Job description

Markleys Precision Company, LLC is a family-owned diesel equipment service and repair company based in New London, OH. We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles and machinery to keep our operations running safely and efficiently. This position can be full-time or part-time with a regular day shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM). The Diesel Mechanic will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all equipment meets safety and environmental standards while maintaining detailed service records.

Responsibilities

1. Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and machinery
2. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
3. Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and diesel air compressors
4. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
5. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

Qualifications

1. Certification from a diesel technical school (required)
2. Must be 18 years or older (required)
3. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) (required)
4. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (required)
5. Experience with diesel air compressors (preferred)
6. DOT, ASE certifications (preferred)

Base pay range

$25.00/hr - $35.00/hr
