The role involves major engine work, diagnostics, DOT inspections, and occasional field service across Connecticut. Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with Cummins INSITE and similar OEM tools are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as a Diesel Mechanic working on heavy-duty trucks and diesel equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with major engine repairs and in-frame overhauls.
• Proficient with OEM diagnostic software (Cummins INSITE, Davie, Allison DOC, Roadranger).
• Familiarity with PM programs and Federal DOT inspections.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks and off-road equipment.
• Perform major engine repairs, in-frame overhauls, and component rebuilds.
• Complete preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, drivetrain, and aftertreatment systems.
• Occasionally perform field service at CT facilities.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and safety standards.

A well-established fleet operation is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join its team near New London, CT.
