The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for performing diagnosis and preventive maintenance services, as well as inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment. This role supports all aspects of mechanical repair and maintenance of vehicles, machines, equipment, and facilities.

Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Work under limited supervision, following written instructions and established procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
- Use vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
- Perform emergency breakdown service calls.
- Conduct annual safety checks on vehicles.
- Complete paperwork using fleet maintenance software for repairs, parts, and repair times.
- Assist other mechanics with project work.
- Review and complete repairs on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to perform physical tasks with or without accommodations.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
- Ability to use motor coordination and finger dexterity.
- Ability to handle heavy objects and work in environments with dirt, noise, odors, and weather extremes.
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
