Job summary

sstjobs is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic in Milwaukee to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel-powered equipment. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and work to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, welding/fabrication ability, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. Monday–Friday schedule and strong benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and repair experience on diesel engines.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty equipment.
• Experience with preventative maintenance.
• Welding/fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components.
• Perform inspections and identify equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems.
• Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic information.
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Job description

Diesel Mechanic

Pay: $35–50$/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
