Job summary

Career is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Heavy Equipment, Forklift & Gen Set Specialist in Midland, TX. This full‑time, day‑shift role focuses on diagnosing, repairing and maintaining large diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, and CAN bus controllers.

You will perform inspections using detailed checklists, read schematics, log service records, troubleshoot equipment, read equipment manuals and coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting identifies mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with tools and testing equipment.
• Hydraulic Systems understanding of schematics, pumps, valves, and cylinders.
• Diesel Engine Repair & Maintenance handling large diesel engines, fuel systems, and emissions tech.
• Electrical & Electronic Systems reading wiring diagrams, repairing harnesses and CAN bus controllers.
• Powertrain Systems knowing transmissions, drivetrains, axles, and torque converters.
• Preventative Maintenance scheduling and performing PMs to reduce downtime.
• Hydraulic and Pneumatic Tool Operation using specialty tools for large machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance using detailed inspection checklists.

• Troubleshoot forklifts, trucks, wheel loaders.
• Read electrical/hydraulic schematics.
• Use computer maintenance programs to log service and parts.

Location: Midland, TX Tenaris Facility
Employment: Full-time, Day shift
Pay: $32-40/hr DOE

Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Heavy Equipment, Forklift & Gen Set Specialist

Reporting To: Maintenance Manager

Qualifications

• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting Ability to quickly identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Hydraulic Systems Expertise Understanding of hydraulic schematics, pumps, valves, and cylinders.
• Diesel Engine Repair & Maintenance Proficiency with large diesel engines, fuel systems, and emissions technology.
• Electrical & Electronic Systems Skilled in reading wiring diagrams, repairing harnesses, sensors, alternators, and controllers (CAN bus systems).
• Powertrain Systems Knowledge of transmissions, drivetrains, axles, and torque converters.
• Preventative Maintenance Scheduling and executing PMs to reduce downtime and extend machine life.
• Hydraulic and Pneumatic Tool Operation Safe and efficient use of specialty tools for large machinery.
