Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
• Proficient at using diagnostic testing equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Proven track record of high-standard repairs and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and the ability to explain issues clearly.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy machinery.
• Physically fit to lift heavy objects.
• Diploma or certificate in diesel repair preferred.

Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent full-time position where you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines for our extensive range of heavy equipment and motors. You will be an integral part of our manufacturing operations, ensuring that our machinery is running at optimum performance levels. This role requires a hands‑on approach, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• 1. Performing diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to identify mechanical problems.
• 2. Carrying out routine maintenance work, including replacing parts, servicing, and checking the performance of heavy equipment and motors.
• 3. Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components, including pistons, bearings, gears, valves, and bushings.
• 4. Overhauling and testing major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
• 5. Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various types of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, cranes, graders, and excavators.
• 6. Keeping detailed records of the maintenance and repair work carried out, including the time taken and the parts used.
• 7. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• 8. Keeping up-to‑date with the latest developments in diesel engine technology and incorporating this knowledge into your work.
