**Qualifications:**

• A satisfactory driving record
• Valid MS Class "B" Commercial Drivers' license with a "P" endorsement
• Must be ASE Certified or willing to obtain ASE certification in various areas of expertise
• Must have a license for certified mechanic and a valid driver's license
• REPORTS TO: Transportation Director or Designee

**MISSION & GOALS:**

Coordinates activities and workload to ensure district vehicles and equipment are properly maintained.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**

• Maintain maintenance and repair records for district vehicles and equipment
• Utilize the Automated Fleet Management System
• Recommend major equipment and vehicle replacements
• Conduct periodic bus inspections
• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and adjust vehicle systems as needed
• Operate shop equipment and perform troubleshooting and repairs on district vehicles
• Maintain a clean and safe shop area

**Additional duties** may be assigned as needed.

• Write routine reports and correspondence
• Speak effectively before groups

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:**

• Calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages
